Rhinoplasty

RHINOPLASTY TURKEY

Rhinoplasty is the process of reshaping a nose that is out of proportion to the rest of the face to make it more aesthetically pleasing. It is referred to as septorhinoplasty if nasal septum surgery, or septoplasty, is included in the procedure.

The most noticeable organ on our face is the nose. Aesthetically uncomfortable asymmetries between the right and left can be bent, curved, too long or too short.

The nose, which is not anatomically ideal, frequently has functional issues. Surgery for rhinoplasty or septorhinoplasty is advised for patients with these issues.

A profile surgery is a rhinoplasty. The face's lateral profile varies significantly. For the patient for whom a rhinoplasty is planned, additional interventions for the forehead and chin tip may be suggested in order to achieve a balanced profile.

Prior to a rhinoplasty

Prior to having a rhinoplasty procedure, patients undergo extensive examinations.Patients discuss the things that bother them. Radiological examinations are requested if thought necessary. When a patient is scheduled for surgery, a speculum examination is frequently adequate.

It is anticipated that bone development will be finished before rhinoplasty surgery. Not advised prior to the ages of 17 for girls and 18–19 for boys.

During a Rhinoplasty

Procedures known as rhinoplasties or septorhinoplasty are hospitalized procedures carried out under general anesthesia. One may choose an open or closed rhinoplasty. The incision made or not made in the region beneath the nose tip known as the "columella" separates the two.

It is feasible to reach and shape soft tissues, cartilage, and bone during both open and closed rhinoplasty procedures.

To support the nose in patients with insufficient cartilage tissue, cartilage from the ribs or behind the ear may be removed. The surgeon may choose to use a plaster or tampon during rhinoplasty procedures. After surgery, it usually necessitates an overnight hospital stay.

Following Rhinoplasty

Following a rhinoplasty or septorhinoplasty, significant pain is not typical. After surgery, bruising and edema are typical for one to two weeks. The new methods have reduced these kinds of complications.

Following a rhinoplasty or septorhinoplasty, patients must recover for four to five days before beginning strenuous exercise for two months.

OPEN RHINOPLASTY TURKEY

An incision is made beneath the tip of the nose, near the lip of the structure known as the "columella," which is situated between the two nostrils, in an open rhinoplasty procedure. In secondary or revision cases, it is frequently preferred.

Prior to an Open Rhinoplasty

Prior to an open rhinoplasty, the patient must have a thorough consultation. can profit from a variety of simulations. Patients who intend to have an open rhinoplasty should absolutely disclose to their doctor any medications and herbal remedies taken prior to the procedure.

During the Open Rhinoplasty Procedure

Under general anesthesia, an open rhinoplasty procedure takes two to three hours. The nasal cartilage and bone are shaped during the procedure, and a skin covering is applied. The surgeon may choose to use a plaster or tampon during the procedure.

The sutures used in open rhinoplasty are usually removed after 5-7 days from the columella, the site of the incision; however, dissolving sutures may also be chosen.

Following Open Rhinoplasty

A one-night stay in the hospital is typically advised following an open rhinoplasty. After three to seven days, a plaster or tampon can be changed or removed. It is recommended that patients take 5-7 days off.

For one to two weeks, bruising and edema are typical, depending on the patient and the technique used. It takes at least six months, but ideally a year, following open rhinoplasty surgery for the nose's shape to completely settle.

CLOSED RHINOPLASTY TURKEY

A rhinoplasty technique known as "closed rhinoplasty" is one in which the columella is not cut. The mucous membranes inside the nose are cut and sutured during a closed rhinoplasty. The entire bone and cartilage structure can be reached and shaped during a closed rhinoplasty.

Closed septorhinoplasty can be achieved by incorporating septum surgery into the closed surgical method. Closed rhinoplasty might not be the best option for severely malformed noses from prior surgeries or accidents.

Prior to Closed Rhinoplasty

Prior to closed rhinoplasty, the patient must have a thorough consultation. can profit from a variety of simulations.

Patients who intend to have a closed rhinoplasty should unquestionably disclose to their doctor any medications and herbal supplements they took prior to the procedure.

During the Closed Rhinoplasty

Under general anesthesia, a closed rhinoplasty, also known as a closed septorhinoplasty, takes about two hours to complete. The cartilages and roof of the bone are shaped during the procedure.

By shielding the nasal dorsum, the nose can be shaped in the right patient. During the procedure, the surgeon will determine whether to use plaster and tampons.

After the Closed Rhinoplasty Procedure

Following a closed rhinoplasty, patients recover quickly. There is not much pain. A week or five of rest is plenty. Following closed rhinoplasty surgery, bruising and edema are also possible outcomes. It takes a minimum of six months, and preferably a year, for the nose's shape to completely settle.

TIPPLASTY TURKEY

Tipplasty refers to a procedure where the back of the nose is not touched, only the tip is altered. The lower cartilages that make up the nose tip are shaped in order to accomplish this.

Usually, the goal is to elevate or shorten the nose tip. For women, it should be between 95 and 100 degrees, and for men, between 90 and 95 degrees.

Prior to Tipplasty

It should be made clear to patients thinking about tipplasty (nose tip lift) surgery during pre-operative interviews that the back of the nose will not be operated on.

The planned tipplasty patient should have a midline, smooth nose free of arches. Consideration should be given to a full rhinoplasty if the back of the nose is uneven.

During Tipplasty

A local anesthetic combined with sedation or general anesthesia can be used for tipplasty (nose tip lift) surgery. Like open and closed rhinoplasty, it can be executed with or without a columella incision.

After the Tipplasty

The patient can return home the same day after tipplasty. One to two days off is plenty. For roughly a week, the tip of the nose could be edematous.

REVISIONAL RHINOPLASTY TURKEY

Revision rhinoplasty is the term for rhinoplasty performed on patients who have had prior nose surgery. Revision rhinoplasty, like any surgery, is more difficult than primary rhinoplasty; in other words, the nose is operated on for the first time. But out of all the surgeries, rhinoplasty is one of the most updated.

Before the Rhinoplasty Revision

Given that revision rhinoplasty is more complicated than primary rhinoplasty, preoperative evaluation is crucial. A thorough physical examination is performed. The nasal curtain may have a hole (septum perforation), which is extremely difficult to fix. For the planned revision surgery, the patient's prior surgical reports are crucial.

Requests for radiological examinations are possible. It might be necessary to remove cartilage from other body parts, like the ribs or ears, if there is insufficient cartilage tissue remaining or if it was never there in the first place. When scheduling a revision rhinoplasty after a nose operation, it is best to wait a year.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Under general anesthesia, revision rhinoplasty surgery takes two to four hours to complete. Given that the nose has undergone prior surgery, only a very minor intervention—sometimes just the correction of the nostrils or the removal of a small arch—might be necessary.

One might think about doing a significant reconstruction-scale operation. Often, cartilage is removed from the ear or ribs. In these areas, there are no scars left.

Following Rhinoplasty Revision

It is typically advised to stay one night in a hospital following revision rhinoplasty. After three to seven days, a plaster or tampon can be changed or removed.

It is recommended that patients take 5-7 days off. For one to two weeks, bruising and edema are typical. If cartilage is removed from the ear or ribs for the revision rhinoplasty procedure, deformity is not anticipated in this case.
